Both these senior executives have extensive experience in the field of financial services, umbrella funds and operations, and have headed up strategic divisions within the Alexander Forbes Group.
David Hufton is currently the Head of Institutional Consulting overseeing the Consultants & Actuaries, Umbrella Retirement Consulting, Asset Consulting and Insurance Consulting units at Alexander Forbes, and a member of the Alexander Forbes Financial Services Executive Committee. He leaves Alexander Forbes after 25 years and has over 20 years’ experience as a principal employee benefits consultant, consulting actuary and valuator to large retirement funds. David is also a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa.
John Anderson, also an actuary, is currently the Managing Director of Research and Product Development at Alexander Forbes. In this role he has been responsible for the thought leadership, best practice and product development at the company. He is also a former Head of National Consulting at Alexander Forbes. John has worked for Alexander Forbes for 15 years and has many years’ experience as a valuator, senior consulting actuary and investment consultant to large multi-national clients. For the last six years John has also chaired the Alexander Forbes Investment Consulting Committee which is responsible for the investment thought leadership and oversight of the Alexander Forbes institutional and retail investment product range strategies.
